Dream-pop duo Mint Julep combines the talents of the husband and wife's solo projects, Helios and Hollie Kenniff, respectively. The aptly-named In A Deep And Dreamless Sleep is an atmospheric set of gently shoegaze-y pop songs, strongly melodic and pulsing with reverb. "Pulse" steadily builds toward a joyful crescendo, while "A Rising Sun" is more of a meditation. "Black Maps" is lovely and hazy, akin to College's "A Real Hero (feat. Electric Youth)" from the Drive soundtrack.
