Amoeba Review

Caleb Landry Jones is back with another album for Sacred Bones, the cosmic Gadzooks Vol. 1. Written while the actor was on location shooting the Tom Hanks-starrer Finch, Landry Jones found himself writing late into the night, crafting the songs that would become this new album. There’s a definite spaciness to the proceedings, as the artist moves from despair to delight and the neo-psychedelia vibes kick into high gear. Gadzooks Vol. 1 has its head in the clouds and its feet firmly planted on late ‘70s NYC soil. Weird, wild, and wonderful.
