STL comes with unpredictable and pleasing organic structures on this new EP. “Please Wait” is built on what sounds like a sampled standup bass with a synthetic snap to evoke some otherworldly jazz club. “Loon Side Drift” takes a sample of the titular bird and builds a convincing tribal melody out of it. Cool and varied ep.
