Chromeo is a synthpop/electrofunk duo from Montreal, Canada and based in New York City. They are P-Thugg (Patrick Gemayel) on keyboards, synthesizers and talk box, and Dave 1 (David Macklovitch) on guitar and lead vocals. Childhood best friends, they officially formed the band in 2002 and were discovered in their hometown by Tiga, who immediately signed them to his Turbo Recording imprint.

Chromeo released their debut album, She’s In Control (Vice, 2004), followed by the mix, Un Joli Mix Pour Toi (Eskimo, 2005) and 2006's Ce Soir, On Danse. Their second full-length album, Fancy Footwork (Vice, 2007), was produced by Chromeo with the help of Tiga and mixed by Philippe Zdar from Cassius. The album led them on a two-year world tour performing in festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading, Fujirock in Japan, Iceland Airwaves, Pemberton Music Festival, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Rothbury Festival, and Lollapalooza. Chromeo released DJ-Kicks (!K7) in 2009 from their mixtape series. They returned with their third full length album in August 2010, Business Casual (Big Beat).
