Arrow, one of the few calypso singers who regularly courts the world music market, is best known for his song “‘Hot Hot Hot.” Buster Poindexter, the lounge lizard alter ego of New York Doll David Johansen, scored a big hit with the song on his debut album Buster Poindexter (1987 RCA), and that sparked the tune’s international fame.
