On the a-side of this 78 from 1930, Times Square Headlights play a peppy little early jazz number wherein the singer woos the object of his admiration, who is perhaps somewhat reluctant to accept his advances. A series of unusual instruments take leads: accordion, bass clarinet, vibes. The b-side is an aptly titled track from the Tuxedo Syncopators. It's frantic fun, almost menacing in places. You can almost hear the illegal bathtub gin flowing in some late night basement speakeasy.
