Amanda Leigh, Mandy Moore's sixth studio album, displays a more mature sound inspired by Moore and producer & co-writer Mike Viola's mutual love for Paul McCartney's Ram album and the songwriting of artists like Todd Rundgren, Joni Mitchell, CSNY, and Nilsson. The album was recorded in a basement outside of Boston on vintage equipment and incorporates instruments like Wurlitzer, a vintage 1920s Steinway piano, and harpsichord.
