Formed in Brooklyn in 2007, Vivian Girls are Cassie Ramone, Kickball Katy, and Ali Koehler (who replaced original drummer Frankie Rose in 2008). With only a demo CD, the Vivian Girls began playing around Brooklyn and New Jersey, opening for bands like Jay Reatard, King Khan, the Crystal Stilts, and others. Their debut LP Vivian Girls was originally released on Mauled by Tigers and it sold out in ten days. They then signed to In The Red Records who re-released Vivian Girls on September 30, 2008.
