Kelley Stoltz is a singer/songwriter currently living in San Francisco, California. Originally from Michigan and then New York, Stoltz moved to San Francisco in the late 1990s. He released his debut album, The Past Was Faster (Telegraph Records), in 1999 and has since released six additional albums, including his latest, Circular Sounds (Sub Pop, 2008). He toured with the Raconteurs and performed at Lollapalooza in 2006. Stoltz is also known for his committment to renewable energy. His album Below the Branches (Sub Pop, 2006), was the first record ever to make a claim of renewable energy on the CD packaging. Stoltz worked with Green-e to track and then offset the energy used in the creation of his album, and he used the Green-e logo on the CD packaging to inspire discussion and interest in renewable energy.
