Everest is a five-piece rock band from Los Angeles. Formed in 2007, Everest is Russell Pollard (vocals, guitar, drums, lyricist), Jason Soda (guitar, keys, vocals), Joel Graves (guitar, keys, vocals), Elijah Thomson (bass, vocals), and Davey Latter (drums, percussion). They are a sort of an indie rock supergroup as their members have been part of The Folk Implosion, Sebadoh, Earlimart, John Vanderslice, The Watson Twins, and more. But instead of following directly in the footsteps of their indie rock pasts, Everest's music draws from the 1970s-style of alt-country/rock. They released their debut album, Ghost Notes, in 2008 on Vapor Records, Neil Young's record label. Their sophomore album, On Approach (Vapor Records), was released in May 2010. Everest has toured with Neil Young, My Morning Jacket, and Wilco.
