Clint Mansell – Film Composer & Musician
Clint Mansell is an English musician, composer, and former frontman of industrial/alternative rock group Pop Will Eat Itself. After the dissolution of the group, Mansell moved to the United States. He transitioned into film scoring when Darren Aronofsky hired him to write a soundtrack for his 1998 debut Pi. The partnership was fruitful and Aronofsky brought Mansell on again for the score of his 2000 cult flick Requiem for a Dream. Since then the pair have partnered on each of the director's subsequent films, including The Wrestler and Black Swan. Mansell received a Grammy nomination for his contributions to the latter film.
Mansell has written scores for Duncan Jones' film Moon, Park Chan-wook's Stoker, Ben Wheatley's High-Rise, and Rupert Sanders' Ghost in the Shell live action remake. He contributed to the soundtrack for the Emmy-winning "San Junipero" episode of Black Mirror. He has also remixed tracks for Nine Inch Nails and can be heard on backing vocals on the band's classic album, The Fragile. His most recent credits include the oil paint-animated film Loving Vincent (2017) and Duncan Jones' Mute (2018).Less
