  Forget Bollywood, the folks over at Finders Keepers have found you something even better, Lollywood! Hailing from Lahore, Pakistan, this vibrant film scene became of interest to the ambitious entertainment company EMI, when it picked up on its even more thriving musical bi product. This collection gathers several of the gems that graced the Pakistani screen, and were originally released by EMI on mini LP’s (with absolutely fantastic cover art, I might add). The main culprits on this disc are M. Ashraf and his female counterpart Nahid Akhtar, Noor Jehan, Nisar Bazmi, and Runa Laila. The disc features stellar Eastern psychedelic pop with flavors your ears have never before tasted. That coupled with fantastic liner notes and pictures of the original artwork make this release a must have.
