Rides On is the effortlessly hip, totally immersive new country rock album from NYC’s The Nude Party. They write evocative, imaginative songs that’ll remind you of back when you were just a wee music fan and you heard those first few favorite bands that’d show you what music could really do, emotionally, intellectually, and even physically. The mood is Velvet Underground meets Rolling Stones in a dusty honky-tonk. The lyrics run the gamut from sympathetic workingman’s anthems (“Hard Times (All Around)”) to bluesy stompers (“Cherry Red Boots”) to darkly enchanting rock ’n’ rollers (“Somebody Tryin’ to Hoodoo Me”).
