This year is the 15th annual Record Store Day! Although the pandemic affected RSD over the last two years, this year we are back to having one big celebratory day in April. Visit any Amoeba store on Saturday, April 23rd for hundreds of limited edition releases available only at indie record stores.
As you have probably experienced, there have been significant pressing and shipping delays with vinyl over the last few years, so the Record Store Day folks are preparing for an RSD Drops date on June 18. This drop will serve as a street date safety net, for titles that are part of the Record Store Day celebration, but for any number of reasons beyond controlling, cannot make it into stores on April 23.
There is one list of Record Store Day titles this year, which includes the titles that will be available in April and any that will be coming in June. As we become aware of issues for any specific title, that title will move to the RSD Drops date.
Record Store Day titles will be available in-store only at Amoeba on Saturday, April 23rd. Remaining titles will be added online starting Sunday, April 24th at 5am PT. As always with these limited edition titles, there are no pre-orders allowed and there is a limit of 1 copy per title per person.
