Oíche (LP)
Fears
Amoeba Review
Irish artist Fears makes her album debut with Oíche, a collection of brooding, minimalist synth-pop. Production is light but well done: "Fabric" pulses hypnotically beneath anxious, insecure lyrics, while "Tonnta" is peacefully melancholy. "Vines" has just a touch of Fever Ray's darkness to it, haunting and gently gothic. This an atmospheric album perfect for introspective nights or gray days spent indoors.
