Mac DeMarco - Biography

Slacker rock singer Mac DeMarco grew up in Edmonton, Alberta under the name Vernor Winfield McBriare Smith IV. He moved to Vancouver after high school graduation, releasing albums under the moniker Makeup Videotape and working on psychedelic video art. In 2011, he moved to Montreal and began recording under the name Mac DeMarco, working on a road paving crew and signing up for medical experiments to make ends meet.
