Amoeba's vintage handbill and flyer collection represents smaller versions of the classic poster designs of the vintage Rock era, and were handed out or mailed as additional marketing tools to promote upcoming shows. Many of these designs were intentionally hard to read to beckon the concert-goer to scrutinize more intimately the event taking place, and to incorporate the visual and cultural elements of the times. Many pieces in the collection have two sides, with calendars and mailing information opposite the poster art.
