REVOLUCIONES: TropiSoul Festival DJs Xicasoul, Philippe Noel & Ruffy TNT
Amoeba San Francisco - November 3rd @ 1:00pm
Join us at Amoeba SF on Saturday, November 3rd from 1-3pm as we welcome three headlining DJs from the TropiSoul Festival, which runs November 1st-4th in San Francisco & Oakland. The TropiSoul Festival is a celebration of Soul, Funk, and Tropical sounds from around the world.
DJ Xicasoul (Cookie Crew / L.A.)
Xicasoul (aka Daniela Zepeda) has been holding it down for the soulful, funky and Latin sounds in San Diego, San Francisco, and now L.A. for quite some time now, sharing music with the public along side her home girl Lil Smiley as The Cookie Crew. We're excited to have this one-time San Francisco resident back in town to share some of her latest digs with us!
DJ Philippe Noel (Canicule Tropicale / Montreal, QC)
Philippe is one of the worlds most prolific diggers of crazy rare tropical records from Africa, The Caribbean, and Latin America. For the last 8 years, he has run the hugely successful Canicule Tropicale party in Montreal, QC with his partner La Mano Peluda. Philippe has traveled the world searching out and collecting the most amazing music to move the dance floor and we are very excited to have him as one of our guests this month.

Ruffy TNT (Discodelic, CDMX)
DJ Ruffy TNT is the co-owner of the record shop Discodelic in Mexico City. Ruffy also is a promoter of the biggest rocksteady and early reggae festival in México, Reggae Hit The Town, since 2012 and also the festival Latinos Con Soul. He's been traveling all around Latin America and all through the Caribbean Islands to find obscure 45s, including some that have never been seen before. He doesn't get the opportunity to DJ too much as he is more of a deep collector, but he has prepared a good selection of rare Afro-Latin Funk, Island and Panama Soul, and deep Soulful rocksteady for TropiSoul weekend.
