Increasingly more vinyl/LP versions of albums are being released in both brand new and reissue versions. While some of these new release vinyl titles are being released on the same dates as other formats (CD, MP3) of the same title, most are typically released at a later date that can be anywhere from a week later to two or more months later. Upcoming releases that can be pre-ordered now from Amoeba, as outlined in the YouTube video above, include Travis Scott's  Astroworld 2LP  vinyl version that goes on sale Nov 9th (with Astroworld CD version going on sale Oct 12th).  Post Malone's beerbongs & bentleys 2LP Clear Vinyl  (Republic) will be available October 26th pre-order now while the beerbongs & bentleys CD release from several months ago is still avail. The late Mac Miller's summer released album will be avail on vinyl as a double album set; Swimming 2LP (Warner) will be available on November 2nd pre-order now.

Rest in peace to Ted Devoux (aka The Godfather) of the legendary Carson CA Samoan family rap/rock group  Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. who passed away over the weekend. In his memory below is the video for the Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E.'s 1990 single "Psyko Funk." In pop rap news over the weekend Rae Sremmurd  unveiled the cover art via Instagram (left) of their upcoming 3 album release Sr3mm. Meanwhile ATL trio Migos, whose 3CD Culture II will soon drop as 3LP (pre-order), got into a bit of a fight after their weekend show in Las Vegas. Reportedly entourage member Cardi B was whisked away from the melee for her safety. Recently both Cardi B and Migos (who contributed to her track "Drip") had played Coachella. [Scroll down to see her much talked about Nardwuar interview from Coachella].

01: Common Can I Borrow A Dollar? [Record Store Day] (2LP + 7”) (Nature Sounds)

Due to a combination of factors, from overstocking to under-publicizing of specific titles, there are currently a limited number of leftover titles from last Saturday's big Record Store Day 2018; half of which make up this week's Top Ten Hip-Hop Albums on Vinyl/LP list. These include in the number position the special Record Store Day vinyl reissue of Common's Can I Borrow A Dollar? via Nature Sounds that is the artist's out of print first album as a 2LP set plus a bonus 7" inch single featuring the Common B-side track "Can I Bust" and an instrumental version of the single/album track "Breaker." Can I Borrow A Dollar?  is Common’s oft overlooked / well worth revisiting debut album from 1992, two years before the release of his breakout hit sophomore album Resurrection (feat. “I Used To Love H.E.R.”). The album also harks back to the Chicago artist's early years when he was still known as Common Sense but this new issue of the album, like all reissues post-1995, has his name on the cover adjusted to simply Common
