Beatles Sgt Pepper Anniversary Reissues

The Beatles' legendary Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band LP turns 50 this June! To celebrate, Capitol is reissuing this legendary LP on May 26th in four different anniversary edition releases that are really something special. After all, this is the first Beatles album to be remixed and expanded since 2003's Let It Be... Naked. This new version of Sgt. Pepper features new mixes by Giles Martin and Sam Okell in stereo and 5.1 surround audio, conducted at Abbey Road Studios. Even more exciting is the fact that the reissues include 34 previously unreleased recordings, including early takes from the sessions. Each reissue features Martin's new stereo mix, which was sourced from the original four-track session tapes and guided by his father, George Martin's mono mix. They are all now available to pre-order on Amoeba.com and they'll ship FREE to the U.S.!

Here's what to expect from the four different versions.

Masters of style" is what he calls them, saying, "They're the most versatile band that I know." High praise coming from someone with tastes as versatile as Roman.
