Amoebapalooza SF 2018

On February 25th, the staff of Amoeba SF kept things very local and crossed Haight Street after closing in a group migration to Milk Bar for Amoebapalooza SF 2018! Part company party, part talent show featuring acts composed of Amoeba SF employees and friends, Amoebapalooza is a yearly tradition that is always a hoot. This year, the talent ranged from dramatic readings, to novelty rock, to electro-performance art, with lots of musical diversions and slices of pizza in between.

Thank you to our friends at SIR Studios for providing our musical back line and to Milk Bar for being the perfect venue and neighbor.

MAGA (Make Amoebapalooza Great Again) + Six More Fun Acts with host Nicki Jizz @ Milk Bar Tonite: Amoebapalooza SF 2018 [$5, 21+]

Amoebapalooza
is always a fun time but tonight's Amoebapalooza San Francisco 2018 at Milk Bar, directly across Haight St from Amoeba SF, with seven freshly formed musical acts taking the stage hosted once again by the incomparable host Nicki Jizz, promises to be really good. Even better admission to this back-to-back night of bands (musical support c/o SIR Studios), is only $5! Amoebapalooza SF 2018's scheduled acts will include Jesus Dude Mom, Plunk 67, Toyota, Gaktuse,  Jon Longhi, Alan's Cousin, and MAGA (Make Amoebapalooza Great Again).  As these fun made-up band names might imply, Amoebapalooza is a night of frivolity shared by music fans from the SF store or down with Amoeba.

Loosely continuing in the tradition of the freeform tribute-bands who played at the early-era Amoeba parties on Treasure Island, Amoebapalpooza has over the years become an anticipated annual Bay Area (and Hollywood) music lovers event. It is one in which musician Amoeba staffers along with their music fanatic friends pay musical homage to their favorite artists. And the often limited practice time put in by these impromptu Amoebaplaooza bands is more than compensated with their unlimited passion and energy.
