Phono Del Sol Festival

Phono del SolThe Phono del Sol Music & Food Festival returns to SF's Potrero del Sol Park in The Mission on Saturday, June 17th. In the tradition of years past, the nonprofit festival will feature a curated mix of favorite local bands and standout national headlining acts, along with some of SF’s tastiest food trucks, artisan cocktails, craft beer, and family friendly activities. A portion of ticket proceeds will go to the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department.

The lineup for this year will be headlined by San Francisco’s own garage-punk rockers Thee Oh Sees. Female punk rock trio The Coathangers are also set to perform, along with Oakland-based songwriter Jay Som, independent folk-rock singer Sean Hayes, and funk-wave hip-hop artist DUCKWRTH. Additional performers include the Oakland-based afro-soul and R&B collective Bells Atlas, Bay Area-based rock outfit Never Young, R&B singer-songwriter Rayana Jay, Oakland-based dream-pop singer-songwriter Madeline Kenney, and indie-psych sextet Tino Drima.

The Adolescents - The Complete Demos 1980-1986

Consisting mostly of tracks recorded in 1980, The Complete Demos is kind of like the punk band’s unofficial first album.

Alvvays

Alvvays Alvvays; Fear of Men Loom

Fear of Men and Alvvays are great female-fronted indie-rock bands reminiscent of The Cranberries and The Sundays; two personal favorites from this year.
