SOB X RBE’s just announced soon to launch headlining four-month US tour plus their upcoming sets at such prestigious 2019 festivals as Coachella (both weekends) and New York’s Governor's Ball (June 2nd) should come as no surprise to anyone who’s been following the celebrated young Vallejo CA rap crew’s meteoric rise to fame over the past three years. Friends since childhood SOB X RBE officially began in early 2016 by the four ambitious young Vallejo talents; Da Boii, Slimmy B, Lul G and Yhung T.O. This tight knit collective of “brothers” was the fusion of two entities: SOB (Strictly Only Brothers) and RBE (Real Boi Entertainment).

In the bygone era of the pre-Internet age, when an earlier era underground Vallejo rap quartet The Click (E-40, Suga T, B-Legit, D-Shot)  rose to fame, to do so they hit the road to got their music heard via selling their indie (Sick Wid It) tapes “out the trunk” of their car. Meanwhile for reaching their audience, SOB x RBE took to YouTube to post music video versions of their tracks as they unleashed them. Below is their extremely popular YouTube music video for "Anti" which since been published in September 2016 has racked up over 34 million views. Clearly all that extra work invested in producing music videos, compared to simply posting audio tracks to Soundcloud, paid off in terms of rapidly spreading SOB X RBE’s music, and their image. Consequently within a relatively short time the new young group were  selling out shows, at first in San Francisco, and collaborating in various capacities with different artists.

In 2017 and again last year SOB X RBE were part of the huge Rolling Loud festival. They’ve appeared alongside Kendrick Lamar on the the Lamar curated Black Panther soundtrack, toured alongside Post Malone and 21 Savage, and have been accumulating accolades far and wide, most notably been the chosen cover artist for last summer’s special issue of The FADER magazine. In addition to video and digital audio versions of their recordings, SOB X RBE's physical releases include Gangin and the late 2018 released Gangin II.

Upcoming this year is a collaborative group album with Grammy award-winning producer Hit-Boy plus solo projects from group members Yhung T.O., DaBoii, and Slimmy B. Toward the end of 2018 both Yhung T.O. and Daboii dropped solo projects. Also in the second half of 2018, after some crew in-fighting, T.O announced via IG that he was splitting the group and that Gangin II would be his last project with the group he helped made famous. Fortunately for fans and the for the crew, the talented rapper/producer has seemingly since changed his mind about parting ways with his “brothers.”

The SOB X RBE just announced four month 2019 Strictly Only Brothers US Tour kicks off next week at Florida's III Points festival (Feb 16). Other festival dates will include performances at both weekends of Coachella and Boston Calling plus New York's Governor's Ball on June 2. On all of the other dates of this four-month 2019 tour SOB X RBE will be the heading act with opening acts Sneakk and Peacoat Gang.

In addition to the two Coachella dates (April 14 & 21st) in Indio, CA  other upcoming tour stops in California will include in Santa Cruz on both Feb 24th and  25th @ The Atrium At The Catalyst with Yhung T.O headlining the first night and DaBoii the second. In April their Cali dates will include at Chico’s Senator Theatre (4/16), Fresno’s Azteca Theater (4/17), and Sacramento’s Ace of Spades (4/27).
