Vinyl fiends and hip-hop fans can rejoice on this Thursday post Black Friday Record Store Day when there’s still (for now at least) some amazing limited edition hip-hop vinyl releases from such artists as G-Eazy, Edo G & Pete Rock, Cannibal Ox, A$AP Ferg, The Hieros and more as witnessed in the sweet hip-hop vinyl top ten chart above. Thanks to Amoeba Music being fortunate in getting additional of copies of numerous titles for last Friday’s special Black Friday Record Store Day extravaganza, there’s still a gaggle of these hot vinyl records still available (many limited to just one per customer) that include reissues, box sets, colored vinyl and other limited edition pressings. There’s also the anticipated vinyl version of the posthumous / final Mac Miller album; Swimming 2LP (Warner).

Leading the pack and topping the ten hip-hop vinyl chart is the long out-of-print Cannibal Ox (Vast Aire, Vordul Megaand El-P) landmark debut album The Cold Vein [Black Friday White Vinyl] 4LP  that is newly pressed up on white colored vinyl in a 4 LP set that includes bonus instrumentals. This must-get album is pure unadulterated underground hip-hop at its best! Another cool box set released for this year’s November RSD is What's Wrong With Bill? Black Friday (3LP + 7” + 24 page book + poster) via Uncle Howie Records. This set is off the chain in your face hardcore rap with Ill Bill teamed up with underrated producer Necro plus such album guests as Q-Unique and Goretex on “Canarsie Artie's Brigade.”

Legends Pete Rock and Edo G’s 2004 album with new vinyl treatment My Own Worst Enemy [Black Friday] LP  from Fat Beats needs little to be said about its merits except go cop it while you still can. Berkeley CA rap superstar G-Eazy pleasantly surprised fans when he dropped last Friday The Vault [Black Friday] LP with eight tracks including the hits “No Limit REMIX”, “1942” and “Drop” and guest shots from such artists as Juicy J, Belly, Blac Youngsta, French Montana and A$AP Rocky. Meanwhile A$AP Fergs Black Friday 12” (RCA) is still available but, like many others on this list, is limited to one per customer. Oakland legendary Hieroglyphics crew dropped the cool picture disc 12”  that’s also one per customer

Sadly Mac Miller, whose 2LP vinyl version of his Swimming 2LP is finally out, is just one of three gone-too-soon artists on the above chart. Another one is the "reissue of the week" artist, Harlem's Big L whose second studio album that was posthumously released in 2000 by Rawkus Records has thankfully been reissued by RBC Records; The Big Picture 2LP. The third late great artist on the above list is DJ Devastate;  the talented 35 year old Swedish DJ/producer who passed back in March of this year.  Released last Friday by Coalmine is his In Recollection: A Dual Label Anthology [Black Friday] LP.   Death Is Certain [Black Friday Red Vinyl] LP is the limited edition new vinyl pressing from Detroit rapper Royce da 5'9"  via E1 Entertainment Video. Freddie Gibbs  Freddie [Pink Vinyl] LP (ESGN) is the colored vinyl version of his new ten song LP (also on CD) featuring such songs as "2 Legit," "Weight" and "Automatic." Get this limited edition pressing while still available at the above links. Meanwhile below is the music video for the G-Eazy hit single "1942" from his The Vault [Black Friday] LP plus new collaboration video from the power duo of DJ Nu-Mark and Method Man "Zodiac Killer" which was a 7" 45 single that was also released last Friday but unfortunately this Black Friday exclusive is already sold out. But check back on the Amoeba online store from time to time in case it's made available again.

DJ Nu-Mark & Method Man "Zodiac Killer" in the Studio (Hot Plate Recods 7") (Nov 23 2018)

G-Eazy "1942 (feat. Yo Gotti, YBN Nahmir) from The Vault [Black Friday] (LP)  (RCA)
