Before her star-studded fashion show at Amoeba Hollywood in January, Stella McCartney had a chance to do some record shopping and share her picks with us. Needless to say her Autumn 2016 preview was one of the biggest things to hit Amoeba since, well, her father, Paul McCartney, played here. Being a daughter of music royalty, McCartney had some special insight into her picks, having known or met many of the artists personally, and she shares the poignancy of the albums to her and her family.

Stella McCartney live at amoeba After graduating in 1995 from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, Stella McCartney was soon appointed Creative Director of Parisian fashion house, Chloe. In 2001 she launched her own business, Stella McCartney, in conjunction with Gucci Group. Having expanded her brand into perfume, organic skincare, lingerie, children's clothing, and active wear lines, McCartney now runs seventeen stores located all over the world. She has received awards from Glamour, Elle, and the British Fashion Council, and was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2013, some 48 years after her father was appointed the same.

McCartney starts her picks (after promising not to do all Beatles or Wings records) with Neil Young's After The Gold Rush. Though not as ubiquitous in England as he is in the States, McCartney grew up on Young, whom her family revered, and of whom her mother, photographer Linda McCartney, took many iconic photos. Next up in her bag is American folk musician and composer Tim Hardin, whose song "Reason to Believe" would be more widely known as a Rod Stewart hit. McCartney also picks up Art Angels, the new album by Grimes, whom she says "represents the kind of new generation of women that I want to see going forward." McCartney pulls out another family favorite, The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds, which Beatles fans might already know was a huge influence on her father and the recording of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. She also talks hanging out with Jeff Buckley, another child of music royalty, whose father, Tim Buckley, was also immortalized by her mother's photos.

But just which Radiohead song does she think is one of the sexiest in existence? And which record makes her feel like an 86 year-old? Watch the video to find out:
