Hot on the heels of his just released latest/twelfth album Zion, busy Norwegian electronic dance music producer/instrumentalist Aleksander Vinter aka Savant has now unleashed another stellar project - this one a collaboration with the award-winning music video director Mike Diva (Kill The Noise & The M Machine) who took Savant's 2013 track 'Kali 47' to make it the driving soundtrack for   a music video that takes the genre to the next level an intense short movie that incorporates many cinematic styles. In fact it is really a homage to such styles as Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns and the work of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. There's horror, action, fantasy, shoot-outs, steampunks, and zombie type creatures delivered via using intense zooms and rapid camera movements. Just like a movie but only a few minutes in length, yet enough to pack in a lot of action and set changes etc. The video acts as the perfect visual counterpart to Savant's driving music which, he says, is inspired by literature, history, fantasy, and cinema. The piece reportedly took a couple of years to make since so much went into its production. For example the saloon had to be built completely from scratch just for this shoot. You can see the short film/music video in its entirety (all three minutes of it) above.
