1979-83 Volume One [Import] (CD)
Bauhaus
Amoeba Review
Tiffany Anders 07/28/2010
Goth kings Peter Murphy, Daniel Ash, David J, and Kevin Haskins created a truly unique sound that has yet to be matched. No gothic collection would be complete without Bauhaus, and this collection of the group’s early gems is a household must-have. It features such fan favorites as “Bela Lugosi’s Dead,” “St. Vitus Dance,” and “God In An Alcove.” The disc gathers all of the group’s finest singles from 1979 to 1983, and is an ideal place to start for those looking to get familiar with the group as well as an essential for die-hard fans.
