Greg Proops is a comedian, actor and Podcast host from San Francisco, California. Widely known for his improv style and sharp wit, Proops has released five comedy albums including Back in the UK (1997), Houston, We Have a Problem (2007), Joke Book (2007), Elsewhere (2009), and Greg Proops Digs In! (2010). Proops currently hosts his hit Podcast, The Smartest Man in the World, in which he talks about current events, celebrity culture, and his personal life before a live audience in Los Angeles.

He has performed on Drew Carey's Green Screen Show and played Max Madigan on the Nickelodeon sitcom True Jackson, VP. Proops is best known for his unpredictable appearances on Whose Line is it Anyway? and is a frequent guest on Chelsea Lately and on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. In addition to his stand-up and improv acts, Proops has done voice work in film and television including Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, Brother Bear, and Bob the Builder.
