Bradford Cox is the lead singer and guitarist for Atlanta-based experimental indie rock band Deerhunter. Cox is also known for his long-term electronic inspired solo project, Atlas Sound.

Originally from Athens, Georgia, Cox moved to Atlanta where he formed Deerhunter in 2001 with drummer Moses Archuleta, guitarists Colin Mee and Lockett Pundt, and bassist Josh Fauver. The band released their first album, the unofficially titled Turn It Up Faggot, in 2005 on Stickfigure Records. Deerhunter has since released five more albums: Cryptograms in 2007 and Microcastle in 2008 both on the Kranky label, along with several singles and EPs. Deerhunter's latest album, Halcyon Digest, was released in 2010 on 4AD.

Cox has used the name Atlas Sound to refer to his long-term solo project that's evolved since Cox's high school years. As Atlas Sound, Cox has released a split 12" with Mexcellent and a two EPs in 2007. The first official Atlas Sound record, Let The Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel (Kranky, 2008), was released to critically favorable reviews. During the same year, Cox was touring with Deerhunter and met up with Calvin Johnson (a.k.a. Selector Dub Narcotic) and recorded the single Atlas Shrugged, a 7" addition to the Dub Narcotic Disco Plate series. With the success of Cox's debut and the now out of print exclusive 7", Cox released his second solo effort, Logos (4AD), in 2009 which features collaborations with Animal Collective’s Noah Lennox and Laetitia Sadler of Stereolab. His third album, Parallax (4AD), followed in 2011.
