Sounding like a mutant take on piano house, Raudive starts this ep with the incredibly fun “Traffic”. Fractured as all hell with a unique rhythm and samples, the track is anchored by a single, beautiful piano bass note. Maddening in the best way. Psycho lives up to its name - pairing ponderous synth with odd synth perhaps somewhat indebted to Yellow Magic Orchestra and adding a Jagger-esque falsetto “You” on top. Strange and awesome. The b-side takes all this weirdness and pushes it towards the club - the insistent percussion on “Beams” sounding like a more mellow Shackleton.
