A vibrant mix of clarinet, oud, and bongo-led percussion mix superbly with Souren Baronian's vocals and his own clarinet mastery to make this an excellent introduction to Middle Eastern music. Straight out of the mid 70s, "The Exciting Music Of The Nor-Ikes" is a traditional album with strong playing underpinning most tracks. Baronian stretches out with wild clarinet solos on some tracks including the excellent "Halime".
