You see a band spelled “The Cirkyt” from 1967 and you probably feel like you already know what they’re going to sound like, right?  Well, for the a-side you’d be pretty close:  fuzz guitar, sneering vocals, etc., but with a chorus straight outta 1962 Liverpool and an odd beatniky spoken interlude in the middle.  The b-side is something altogether different, though:  a teen ballad about a love letter that must’ve sounded pretty tame even at the time—it revs up just in time for the fade out…
