Teen Babes from Monsanto [1984 Issue] (LP)
Redd Kross
Amoeba Review
Tiffany Anders 09/21/2010
Psychedelic punks and pop culture lovers Redd Kross released this little gem of covers in 1984. The material spans from the heavy-rocking Kiss number “Deuce” to the sweet bubblegum pop of “Blow You A Kiss In The Wind,” straight from a number performed by Samatha’s zany cousin on the late 1960s television show “Bewitched.” The boys conjure up all the enthusiasm, lust, and mania of their live performances on this EP. It is a raucous and blissfully sloppy listen, and it has yet to be released on CD. Those who are lucky enough to come across a copy of it should definitely snatch it up.
