Amoeba Review
06/12/2012
Indie dreampop duo Hundred In the Hands is back with their sophomore full-length on legendary electronica label Warp. Vocalist Eleanore Everdell and guitarist Jason Friedman filter everything through synths for a warm, lo-fi dance-pop sound, reminiscent of mid-'80s Wire and the atmospherics of Broadcast. Red Night simultaneously explores nocturnal cityscapes and the dark night of a relationship, when things are hard, you don't know where you are and you're fumbling for the light. Fortunately, through their moody, dreamlike dancepop, these kids stuck it out and stayed together. Maybe the rest of us can make it out of the eternal city by following the sound of Hundred in the Hands. Read More
