The Antlers’ frontman and songwriter Peter Silberman reemerged with a concept album, following the story of a man who falls in love with a bone cancer patient and watches her die. Silberman’s fragile falsetto resonates amongst slowly building guitars, keyboards, and horns. The album is not an easy listen, for the catharsis of Hospice is gut-wrenching. But it’s a beautiful transcendence
