Dirty Projectors
Bitte Orca

Dave Longstreth & Co. are back with the highly anticipated followup to their experimental-indie update of Black Flag, Rise Above! Bitte Orca is fearlessly creative and infectious experimental pop, somewhere between the pretty/ugly schizophrenia of Deerhoof and the urgent, jangly, nerd-romantic romp of the Talking Heads (the DPs collaborated with David Byrne on "Knotty Pine" for the Dark Was The Night compilation). Starting with the magnificent fractured-dance single "Stillness Is the Move," and further knocking our socks off with the indelible choruses of "Useful Chamber" and "Temecula Sunrise," this the most accessible, powerful and high-flying music these Brooklynites have made yet, establishing them in the forefront of indie rock with Animal Collective and Grizzly Bear.
