Morcheeba
Dive Deep
(Ultra)

Morcheeba returns with their 6th record (and their 2nd without lead singer Skye Edwards). With her absence, they feature guest vocalists and the result this time around is a more cohesive album than “Charango.” It’s a beautiful trip hop album, but here there’s more emphasis on the “trip” than on the “hop.” This record sounds like it should be listened to by a body of water...even the title (“Dive Deep”) and the artwork suggest water and fl uidity. I like this album more and more every time I listen to it.
