	Calla Collisions (Beggar's Banquet)

Somewhere between '80s Brit pop and today's New York... Interpol, Calla was born as a moody lo-fi indie rock band. On "Collisions", though, Calla has amped it up. The lush instrumentation is still there: the heavy bass, the airy, melodic (but not frail) guitar. And now, they've injected some alarm-clock adrenaline. Batteries included!
