The Oakland based duo’s new electronica EP, Sunlight and Circuitry, can best be described as “weed-wave,” the stonier, more introspective cousin of chill-wave. Processed and glitched drums drive the songs while melodies bleep and bloop through thick layers of delay.

A creative blend of the DIY side of Creation records, Bossa Nova stylings and 1960s soundtrack sensibilities. Playfulness, brooding and intensity all take turns as acoustic guitars in a reverb haze blow over percussion grooves evoking vintage moods that remain retro retread free.
