Lydia Lunch’s first band, Teenage Jesus & the Jerks, played short, fierce, terrifying songs that were among the purest expressions of punk nihilism. Writer, guitarist, singer, actress and photographer Lunch was born June 2, 1959 in Rochester, New York.
