London punk rock band The Damned's motto of "anarchy, chaos & destruction" proved to be one the all-time great examples of truth in advertising. With a ferocious, drastically accelerated sound, their brand of amplified savagery delivered the most exciting, over-stimulated form of rock ‘n’ roll extant in the mid to late 1970s.
