Morrissey - Biography

by Sir Frankie Delmane

Upon the break up of The Smiths, Morrissey went straight into a solo career, releasing his debut Viva! Hate in 1988, which was followed by many singles, collected on his next release, Bona Drag (1990.) Kill Uncle, his third release- official second LP, came in 1991, followed by Your Arsenal in 1992 (Produced by Mick Ronson.) In 1994 he released Vauxhall & I, which was then followed by Southpaw Grammer (1995) and Maladjusted (1997.) Morrissey then, by and large, went silent, until 2004 when he made a comeback of sorts with You Are The Quarry, securing his status as one of the most adored cult figures in pop music. Ringleader Of The Tormentors follwed in 2006, with 2009's Years Of Refusal being his latest sonic creation to hit the racks. In 2013, after years of fans and fanatics alike begging for it, Morrissey released his autobiography, simply titled Autobiography.
