Amoeba Review
01/28/2013
Filled to the brim with gorgeous melodies awash in atmospheric synthesizers, Indians’ Somewhere Else is the work of Danish singer/multi-instrumentalist Soren Lokke Juul. Imagine a combination of The Tallest Man on Earth’s earnest singer-songwriter material and Neon Indian’s day-glo synthesizer dreams, and you’re getting close. Songs like “Bird” feature ascendant melodies, while light beatwork on songs like “La Femme” make the whole thing go down smoothly. Somewhere Else radiates warmth to get you through the winter months.
