The 8th album from this titanic Austin posthardcore quartet rekindles the sense of urgency and grab-you-by-the-face immediacy that they haven't really seized like this since Source Tags and Codes. Intending Lost Songs as a wake-up call to apathetic hipster youth who fail to feel the pain of sociopolitical problems like the civil strife in Syria, Jason Reece and Conrad Keely promptly unleash tribal pounding and furious riffing on a splattering set of songs that will remind you who's your daddy is now that Fugazi is gone.
