To bring their songs to life, Hannah Valente (rhythm guitar), Sami Perez (bass), and Eva Treadway (lead guitar) create angelic yet haunting harmonies over Sinclair Riley’s tight drumming. Since emerging into the tightly knit San Francisco music scene, The She’s have received a ton of success early on. They were included in The San Francisco Guardian’s “Bands On The Rise,” named ‘teen sensations’ on KQED, and hold recurring features on The Bay Bridged. They’ve also managed to play at most well-known San Francisco venues, opening for bands like Girls, Thao and the Get Down Stay Down, and Yuck.
The She’s are more than just your average girl band. These talented ladies have been playing music together since elementary school-and their closeness shines through in perfectly tuned three part harmonies. With songs about growing up in San Francisco, their early music is a reflection of their social and musical lives colliding- coming out of a unique perspective for high school students having been tossed into the music industry at such a young age. As they continue their lives beyond school in the city, their songs develop into themes of nostalgia, the exploration of solitude, love, and heartache.
The She’s most recently released a dreamy ’60s-inspired album, Then It Starts to Feel Like Summer, and are back with a new EP, Dreamers, advancing their sound to a darker and more heartfelt era of The She’s.
