Charity Auction for New Orleans w/ BRENTLY HEILBRON!
Amoeba Hollywood - March 1st @ 4:00pm
Join us for laughs and to score some amazing items up for bids - all while raising money for two New Orleans charities that support musicians and their rich heritage in the city. All hosted by our original auctioneer and now Austin-dwelling funnypants, Brently Heilbron!
About Brently: He has been performing and touring since the age of 15. He was the first host of the Amoeba charity auctions, in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. While working at Amoeba, he emceed for Paul McCartney, Dr. John, and the Mighty Boosh and has worked with notables like Woody Allen, George Takei, Daniel Johnston, and Dolemite in his long, strange trip of a career. High fives in advance.
See him Saturday night at The M Bar in Hollywood.
March's auction benefits Tipitina's Foundation and the New Orleans Musicians Assistance Foundation (NOMAF). Both are amazing organizations whose work grew out of the damage done during Katrina and who continue to do great work with and for the musicians in New Orleans. We encourage you to follow the links and learn more about what they do and the musicians they've helped.
And join us for our annual FAT TUESDAY celebration on March 4th – the fun starts at 4pm with a live performance from ORGONE!
100% of the auction proceeds go to charity - and Amoeba matching all winning bids (up to $1000).
