Norah Jones Wins Over Los Angeles With Her In-Store Performance at Amoeba Music in Hollywood!

February 12, 2007 – Friday nights in Los Angeles produce quite a few things, from traffic jams to hurried hipsters making plans for the weekend to can't-miss events. All were in evidence last Friday as droves  of people flocked to Amoeba Music to catch multi-Grammy Award winner Norah Jones’ free in-store performance and signing.

The performance came a week after the singer/multi-instrumentalist released her latest effort, “Not Too Late” on Blue Note Records (January 30, 2007). With help from KCRW, presenting the in-store, the masses turned out to Amoeba for a great Friday night show!

Norah Jones & The Handsome Band (with special guest M. Ward joining them on stage for the new track “Sinking Soon”) played a set highlighting new music from "Not Too Late" and the fans got the unexpected treat of a new arrangement of "Come Away With Me" - with Norah on guitar - for the sublime closing song. After the performance, Norah stayed for 2 more hours to sign autographs and visit with fans, ending the evening on a warm and gracious personal note.
