The Paramount Theatre, 2025 Broadway, Oakland
Beauty that will pop your jaw. Opened in 1931, this art deco jewel shines from every corner with class and majesty. Run by a non-profit, the Oakland landmark has plural historical landmark badges and a night for everyone somewhere on the calendar.  Recognized and lauded world-wide, this is more than a venue: this is a living part of Oakland, jewel of California and a destination not to be missed. Movie classics, Oakland Symphony, and a wide variety of Live Music.

Bottom of the Hill, 1233 17th Street, SF
Rolling Stone magazine says: "The best place to hear live music in San Francisco."  We like to add: great people, too! Nice set up, roomy only as far as it can still be cozy; generally there is street parking to be had, and a mix of music from groups you already love, or some strange name that is about to break open nationwide.

12 Galaxies, 2565 Mission Street, SF
12 Galaxies truly supports local music, and this is no dive or hole in the wall bar. We’re talking a 6000 sq. foot space, a main floor and a mezzanine from which you can look down upon the crowd below like a God holding court. Not to be sniffed at: a full bar up and down, 2 lounges upstairs, pool table and video games, and hot damn - hot food!! Two blocks from the 24th St. BART station, on 3 MUNI bus lines, and yes, you look awesome in that public transportation device!

Café Du Nord/Swedish American Hall, 2170 Market Street

The landmark Swedish-American Hall, built in 1907, is flat out SF to the last nail.  Excellent bands every week, a forty foot hand-carved mahogany bar, used to be a speakeasy during Prohibition. Really, what more can anyone say? Oh yes: the menu, the reservations, very very nice. 

Hollywood Palladium
The longest operating venue in Los Angeles.  It was opened in September 23, 1940 with Frank Sinatra and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.  We premiere 150 - 225 events a year, from Banquets and parties, to award shows, and concerts

The Hollywood Bowl
Legendary L.A. venue hosts a wide variety of genres. Reasonable ticket prices.

The Smell
