Issac Hayes - Biography

Issac Hayes was a bad ass soul singer/songwriter/actor/voice over artists of absolute distinction. He is most famous for his soundtrack for the black cinema action classic Shaft, as well as being the voice of Chef on the South Park cartoon. As a solo artist he had a distinct presence- his bald head and burly figure, accenting 20 minute versions of Jimmy Webb songs like "By The Time I Get To Phoenix" brilliantly, framed by his sing/speak baritone. Hayes died in August 2008. He was 66 years old.
