Garage rock aficionados rejoice! The greatest modern practitioner of the style has returned after a too-lengthy hiatus, with a shiveringly-good new record that's just as crazed, balls-out, singalong catchy and violently happy as you'd dreamed. King Khan has taken his street style, wailing vocals and barely-there sartorial coverage all over the world and shaken his ass in the face of power, perhaps overdoing it a little a few years back. Never mind though, a wee hiatus and some psychiatric rehab was all it took to reunite the King with his horn section, his throbbing gospel psych blues, his diabolical muse. Idle No More is as crazed and reactive as it sounds, freakier than an extra double shot in your morning coffee. Open up and bleed!
